Hi Chris, if you used to like it, why do not like it now? fvwm is available for install via synaptic package manager. With its family of "depends on" Synaptics tells that it requires ~19 Mb of disk space and needs to download ~7 Mb (It's always those dependent relatives that bite you in the bum when installing stuff onto lubuntu). Lubuntu is an extra low-fat version, but if your computer has worked okay with fvwm in the past, there is no need to turn your back on it. Yes, I'm sure one the guys who loves playing with things can come up with a 'Terminal / CLI' version of how to achieve all this - but that should put you back into familiar territory. Just remember, lubuntu can run any application from the repository :)
