As I mentioned before, I made a task for Google Code-In students to do a little exploratory testing with LXQt in Xenial (similar to instructions [here][1]) and I just had the first feedback, so I thought I'd share:
When I click the start button, the menu appears at the top left corner, but > it went normal after I reboot the machine: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/lubuntu-next/+bug/1527013. After I changed > LXDE into LXQt, I found there is an arrow besides "Programming" menu but it > shows an empty list after I clicked on it so I think that is a bug related > to the package lxqt-panel. I find a similar one at launch pad: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/lubuntu-next/+bug/1388293. In addition, when I > try to move application onto desktop, there is a window appears and > displays “cannot copy a file into its sub folder”, here is the link: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/lubuntu-next/+bug/1527011 . Another strange > thing is that, I installed another language (preference > language support) > in LXQt, and changed the regional format into this language, however the > example underneath displayed “Failed to apply format choice” so I close and > re-opened the tab and select that language again and this time it is > normal. I don’t know if it counts as a bug or not. The first thing I want to say about LXQt is that the default wallpaper is > really ugly…LXDE has a much more pleasant default wallpaper. I also prefer > the design of GUI in LXDE, it looks more refined. There are several icons > at the task bar in LXDE, however you need to drop application icons at > LXQt. Moreover, it is much easier to move icons around, i.e. onto desktop > in LXDE. There isn’t any icons (not even trash bin!) at desktop which made > me feel very habits :P. However, LXQt does seem runs faster as I believe it > is more lightweight than LXDE.
