The final Vivid images will be available for testing this Friday, with release planned the Thursday thereafter. I'm off to Linux Fest North West on release day, so I can use all the help I can get.
One of the major problems that we have going on right now is that desktop images don't seem to boot in virtual machines. This is a problem for testing, of course. If anyone can do bare metal testing, that would be great. Meanwhile, if people could add to the bug report, that would be great: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1441843 ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Nicholas Skaggs <nicholas.ska...@canonical.com> Date: Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 7:25 AM Subject: Gearing up for 15.04 image testing To: "ubuntu-qual...@lists.ubuntu.com" <ubuntu-qual...@lists.ubuntu.com> We're in the final stretch now! April 23rd will be the release date for vivid. With that in mind I would encourage everyone to prepare for testing the final images. The final image milestone should be created this Friday April 17th in preparation. The release team will continue testing and iterating on this image until release. Please plan to test this image and take part in verifying it for release. While you are testing, don't forget about your favorite flavors of ubuntu who can also use your help and testing expertise. Thanks and happy testing!
