Thanks. For *ubuntu, I modified: ./ubuntu-installer/i386/linux ./ubuntu-installer/i386/boot-screens/txt.cfg to include "forcepae" and could see the change in the menu items in the Installer Boot Screen. What finally worked was to use the Advanced options -> Command-line expert install. Somehow that got the right kernel. I'll look more at the other distros, too, but my initial run-in with Puppy is that it does not have a generic netboot installer. It looks like one must first install puppy on real hardware. I tried in a VM first but it could not get past the graphics. But for the most part things are solved unless the wiki needs tweaking. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/AdvancedMethods#Pentium_M_and_Celeron_M Regards, /Lars -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-qa Post to : lubuntu-qa@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-qa More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
