The recursive bug on PPC can be worked around, by intervening in the bootloader, but the other bug doesn't have a work-around yet. It won't go past the splash screen on boot but it is possible to ctrl-alt-f1 etc to get to a console and log in. So the installation is not a complete failure. Regards, /Lars PS.
