Well, sort of. In practice I usually skip (1) and (3). So: A. Copy any data you need from the hard drive to somewhere else B. Boot from Lubuntu Alternate CD and install it. Then, very rarely, only if the Alternate install failed: C. Boot from mini.iso and try installing Lubuntu that way instead.
