There may be a problem with the installer using the geographical location to guess (wrongly) at the default language to use. I have had several instances where the UI ended up having bits in the wrong language. For example, I have one right now where parts are in Finnish while most is in English: $ ls -lh total 44K drwxr-xr-x 2 lars lars 4,0K huhti 25 15:14 Desktop drwxr-xr-x 2 lars lars 4,0K huhti 25 15:14 Documents ... Same for some of the graphical apps and utilities. It's something I have to look at more closely when I start testing again. Along those lines it irks me to no end that many web sites, despite offering content in my language, choose to override my browser's language settings and offer content in the wrong language(s).
