Indeed. There is a lot of overhead to maintaining a separate activity. Can I ask what services (OMGUbuntu?) already exist and what needs StartUbuntu is intended to meet that are not fulfilled by the others. It might be more productive to tune the existing services to be of more benefit to Lubuntu.
