Dear all,

We have submitted a new version of the following document. While this document
introduces a protocol-independent intra-domain SAV solution, it could be
implemented by using existing intra-domain routing protocols (see Section 3.2
and Section 5). Therefore, we believe that LSR would be interested in this
document.

Main Updates:
1) We add a new Section 2 to overview SPA-based SAVNET and specify where to
deploy SPA-based SAVNET.
2) We update Section 3 to highlight the key design of SPA-based SAVNET (such as
the key SAV-specific information carried in SPA messages).
3) In Section 4, we introduce the most recommended use case, an alternative use
case, and two corner use cases of SPA-based SAVNET, respectively.
4) In Section 6, we update the incremental deployment considerations for
SPA-based SAVNET.

Best,
Lancheng

> Abstract:
>
> This document proposes the Source Prefix Advertisement (SPA)
> technology for intra-domain SAVNET, called SPA-based SAVNET. SPA-
> based SAVNET allows routers in an intra-domain network to exchange
> SAV-specific information through SPA messages. Compared with
> existing intra-domain SAV mechanisms RFC2827 [RFC3704], SPA-based
> SAVNET can generate more accurate and robust SAV rules on intra-
> domain routers in an automatic way. This document introduces the
> content of SPA messages and the process of generating SAV rules. SPA
> messages can be transmitted by a new protocol or an extension to an
> existing protocol. Protocol designs and extensions are not in the
> scope of this document.
