Very very interesting topic... I was just watching the show and i could recount
and feel the same way as Saamir defines his feelings about SOS Children's
Village.. We were a class of 26 from the 6th semester BBA at Szabist and we
were assigned a project to manage, look after and interact with the children
for one whole day, November 9th, 2008..everything from cleaning utensils to
washing the washrooms to cooking breakfast, arranging lunch and preparing hitea
and actually making the whole day fun for the children... after working for 4
months for the project and collecting a lot of donations from universities and
shopping malls, we were proud of the end result. today, all of us actually feel
as a part of those 15 homes based at the karachi village that had been assigned
to us as a group, we saw what a difference we could make in the lives of these
children..The children were confident, fun and well mannered.. it was
heartbreaking yet heartwarming to work for these children..the feeling cannot
be defined in words... what i can say from my experience is that SOS is an
organization that really delivers on what it promises.. and the 26 of us plan
to visit SOS on a occasional basis to do the maximum that we can..

Thanks
