As far as I know, there is no official decision yet. But some research
projects are ongoing.
MIPS like ISA is one of the most hopeful candidates.

Is there kind of a 4a/4b coming soon?
Yes, a big improvement of loongson core architecture is ongoing.
Upgrades to IC technology(28nm as far as I know) are also on the way.
3.- Is there a public road map, so anyone can look at it?
I have an internal roadmap but not authorized to publish it. I don't
know whether there is a public one.
