People tend to be very attached to their distributions, so I don't think the "everyone should just work on X" school of thought is realistic. On the other hand I'd guess the number of available distributions can be daunting to new users. Thanks a lot for explaining the differences and pros/cons of Arch vs. Parabola on the Yeeloong.
