Anyone know if this is fixed in any more recent released or testing version
of Linux?

Also I seem to recall there was some trick other than trying to
use CONFIG_FB_SM7XX_ACCEL for speeding up scrolling speed in consoles /
virtual termainals (eg vt1, ctrl-alt-F1 etc), but I can't seem to locate the
doc on how to do it now - anyone remember?
