The Board of the Tampere University of Technology is allocating foundation capital to fund the hiring of five post doc researchers to research groups. Please find attached a pre-announcement of the call that can be freely distributed in your networks. The call opens 2 January 2017 and closes 22 Jan 2017. My research group focus on many-valued logics, algebraic logic, paraconsistent logic, logic based data mining and their applications, pls forward this message to your young colleagues, Yours Esko Turunen A successful candidate: - holds a doctoral degree (the dissertation must be submitted and proof must be available by 1 March 2017) - has completed his/her doctoral degree no longer than 4 years prior to the deadline (degree certificate issued after 22 Jan 2013, except for applicants with children, when 1 year per child will be added) - has significant international research experience during recent years We have a similar recruitment process as last time: - the call is opened by the central administration, but the candidates identify the research group/department they wish to join - the applications are sent to the relevant groups and the Faculties prioritize the candidates for the Science Council - the President of TUT decides which candidates are hired based on the Science Council's proposition The position is filled from the beginning of March 2017 or as soon as possible. The duration of the contract will be two years. There's still more than a month before the call opens, so please be active in distributing the add and finding the best candidates!
