Because I've been asked, where in the terms of signing up to become an
Ubuntu member does it allow for Canonical employees to give out the
email addresses, visible or not, of Ubuntu members to third parties?

I was asked this by someone who has received two emails, "Jono's" (the
mail body claimed to be him but the email address it was sent from was
someone else) community poll and now Daniel's CC voting email.

The person was concerned because their email is not visible on their
Ubuntu member page yet a third party service somehow, presumably the
Canonical employees above, gave it out. The person feels their trust was
breached as they cannot find where it is allowed in any terms on the
member pages. If it is there, can someone provide me a link to forward?

This could be one of the problems with the eroding community
enthusiasm, members feeling betrayed by Canonical on this type of thing.

Thanks
