I have been asked by a few people what will happen to the drupal
- -launchpad openid modules that seamlessly created users based on
existing launchpad users because of the ubuntu login change.

Frankly, I have no clue. I no longer have any access to these branches
through the web interface. I don't know if this is a bug in launchpad
or not, but we can at least still grab branch content from the
following urls.

https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-openid/6.x-dev
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-launchpad/6.x-dev
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-teams/6.x-dev
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-openid/5.x-dev
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-launchpad/5.x-dev
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-drupal-devs/drupal-teams/5.x-dev

With the change, I don't know how much longer these will serve a
purpose. I've been trying to get information about this but it seems
that my questions have gone unanswered to this point.

To all of you that have been asking me questions:
  I'm sorry, I don't have answers.

To anyone using these modules:
  I'm sorry, I don't have answers.
It may or may not be a good idea to make sure each user sets up their
own password so they can fall back to that in the event the openid
    process ceases to function.

It's a bleak message full of sad. I'm sorry for that too.

On the bright side; I promise to continue building the Ubuntu-Drupal
tools. Anything else is 100% Open and GPLv2 (as it's a sub project of
a GPLv2 project). I promise that if I ever leave the scene that these
projects will remain in capable hands that will keep these fully and
completely open as that's my promise to you.
