I have been talking to the ubuntu-br council about this, but as far as I
know, they`re also uncertain about the right answer for that. I believe that
their practice is already something pretty close to the ubuntu-us case.
Brazil is too big and it`s not viable for them to promote an install fest,
for example. But I guess they fear we will not be able under the hierarchy
or be able to work together if that happens, which isn`t necessarily true.

I believe that the key answer on this case is clarifying what the
officialization is. If it is just a recognition for work done, them I see no
problem on that.

I`ve made a research on the loco directory, and Canada and Russia also have
state loco teams too. The suggestions you made seem very good to me, and
also based on what is actually practiced.

I`ll see if people in ubuntu-br and I can participate on the loco council
meeting and answer that.
