Don't be so sure that you don't qualify for Ubuntu membership. Bug reporting is a valuable contribution, as are the other items listed above. Regular and sustained contributions will be recognised if you can back them up. You should think again about the "six years" part, as Ubuntu's recent fifth birthday has been widely celebrated in the blogosphere, but subject to that point, these are all very valuable contributions.
