Hello, I'd like to ask loco contacts or anyone "in the know" about CD/DVD label printing equipment. I would like to have a printer that is supported in Linux and does color, and we're considering an Epson R800 Stylus Photo Inkjet CD/DVD Printer, but cartridges are expensive and if gone unused for some time, we fear it won't perform as well.
Another suggestion was the much cheaper (both in price and supplies) Casio CW-K85 Thermal CD/DVD Title Printer [2], which can be used without a computer but only does b&w. We're planning to make this equipment available to several other local groups, so colors other than those in the Human Theme are important :) If anyone has better suggestion I'd appreciate hearing about them. We've also ruled out Lightscribe and b&w laser labels, for costs / time considerations.
