When the UKteam first met at the Linux World Expo there was a consensus
that it would be extremely useful to have a series of tutorials which
demonstrated basic functions and tasks which new Ubuntu , indeed any
community, members would benefit from [1]. Following that discussion
AlanPope[2] utilised a series of tools and procedures to create an
example of a Screencast. This work by Alan and other members of the
UKteam can be viewed here http://quickones.org . Whilst there are other
similar efforts from the community the UKTeam would be intersted to know
if other Locoteams are currently working on or have implemented similar
projects. We are very interested in looking at how these screencasts
could be redubbed for other languages and further to this Alan will be
working on documentation which detailing how to create and deliver the
screencasts. Clearly it will be appropriate to look at translating the
completed documentation for other locoteams. So our questions are
threefold and Id appreciate being able tie up contacts between the
UKTeam and other Locoteams in regard to this project.

Questions:

1. Are there currently any other Locoteams who are doing a similar task ?
2. Are there any Loco teams who would be interested in translating the
documentation , and possibly redubbing / recreating the screencast ?
3. Is there any topic which other Locoteams feel should be covered ?

Matthew East will be contacting the documentation team to discuss how
the Screencasts can be utilised and I will be contacting the Local Linux
publications here in the UK however if there are other english speaking
publications in your own Loco Team community which you feel should be
contacted then do let us know since it would be a great opportunity to
put these out on magazine coverdisks.

Thanks for reading.
