davezarzycki added a comment. I've run out of time for today, but for the record, I think we should use slash as the canonical separator for the timing data file. The actual separator doesn't matter because these strings are never used as paths, just as keys into a dictionary. (Therefore any character would work.) This would let us harmonize the Unix and Windows timing data files.
