Actually self-teaching R, I can see in tutorials and articles some
possibilities of R for cartography and in a GIS point of view.
When I saw things like the Cartography package :

I think we can improve the actual quickstart (which had issues in 10.5 and
11.0 releases) and make it more appealing.

GIS workflow needs data acquisition, manipulation and visualisation and
that can be made in R like in GRASS, QGIS or postGIS.
I can work on it with Tina Cormier and Etienne Delay who volunteered to
help us.
