#1603: PostGIS 9.5 Bundle Installer Fails (at least on Windows 7) --------------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: aanderson | Owner: live-demo@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: LiveDVD | Resolution: Keywords: PostGIS, Installer | --------------------------------+--------------------------
Comment (by aanderson): Replying to [comment:1 robe]: > Where is your PostgreSQL 9.5 installed? That error message as I recall, pops up if you try to install it in a folder where PostgreSQL is not installed. Thanks for your quick response. I’m sorry, I may be confused by the name on this installer: postgis-bundle-pg95x32-setup-2.2.1-1.exe What does “bundle” refer to here? I thought it meant PostGIS was bundled with PostgreSQL. And the installer offers up the appropriate location for a PostgreSQL install (C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.5\) as if it already found what it is looking for. So the real issue may be that the error message should say something like “Cannot find the folder where PostgreSQL is installed”.
