Hi Madi and Micha
Thank you Madi and Micha for developing this new Virtualisation Quickstart.
When you are complete with the English text, please let me know and I
will review for you.
I had a look at your Italian page (translated into English by Google),
and it looked good.
The only comments I'd add is:
1. Try to make the text as timeless as possible. Imagine the text is not
updated for a number of years. Will it still be relevant? (This is not
just the case for English text, but for all translations too).
2. If possible, try to ensure that the images work for all languages.
Translators are not likely to recapture the images.
3. Try to make the document as short and concise as possible. The
shorter the text, the easier to keep up to date for maintainers, and the
quicker it is for readers.
Warm regards, Cameron

Hi Hrvoje,
Do you have a Windows Operating System, which you could use for
screen captures for the OSGeo-Live Quickstart?
Madi is right, our OSGeo-Live Virtual Machine Quickstart is
probably one of our most important Quickstarts to get right, and
it would be great to get it updated.
Is there any chance you could help her with regards to capturing
these images?
Tips on creating images are here:
https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Add_Project#Screen_Shot
(note, the wiki is still referencing subversion - we have migrated
to git).
Feel free to update.
Warm regards, Cameron

Dear list,
the docs page on virtualization quickstart [1] is quite outdated,
and is one of the most important pages, one of the first
approached by users. I have made an updated quickstart and
temporarily published here [2]. I have based the quick start on
windows, because it seems to me the most common case. The reason
why i haven't directly contributed it to the official docs is the
fact that it's in Italian. The only windows system I had access
to is in Italian, so I was not able to make screen captures in
english and i don't think is a good practice to update local
pages before the english one. So with this email I'm asking if
there is someone with english system on windows would like to
contribute captures, I'm willing to write the text in english as
well.
Moreover, I think that, *where possible*, it would be nice if
this page could have captures in different languages as well,
along with the translation of the text.
Thank you
