#1522: GeoNetwork 3.0.1 fails to start in a VM ---------------------+--------------------------- Reporter: kalxas | Owner: live-demo@… Type: defect | Status: new Priority: blocker | Milestone: OSGeoLive9.5 Component: LiveDVD | Resolution: Keywords: | ---------------------+--------------------------- Changes (by kalxas):
* priority: critical => blocker Comment: Hi, I tested the GeoNetwork 3.0.1 setup again in latest 9.5 nightly build (live system under Virtual Box): 1. I removed the jai_imageio-1.1.jar library manually as suggested. 2. With 2GB RAM the VM goes to swap and finally dies... 3. With 4GB RAM it takes ~6 mins to finally start up. In the meanwhile the Firefox window shows up with an "page not found" error. 4. After the application starts it seems that there are no data loaded in the application. I guess this is not expected, right? I am very concerned that a simple user will not be patient enough to wait for 6 mins for the application to start (even if we update the Quickstart to mention this). Is there any way we can create the database with a script during the installation process?
