Hi Raffaele,
I suggest the starting point for training documentation should be the
Quickstarts. They are probably the right length and depth for a 90
minute course split between multiple projects.
I agree that you would be able to cover all of them. Maybe 4 to 6.
The bonus of using the quickstarts directly will be that you have a the
chance to update the OSGeo-Live material directly, which will improve
the quality of OSGeo-Live.
Material here:
http://live.osgeo.org/en/overview/overview.html
I'd suggest also watch the current discussion about OGC Standards and
training. (Copying email from Luis below)

We also have some material that you might consider including in the
OSGeo-Live DVD available at the OGC E-Learning repository. The
standards in the repository have a main page that provides an
introduction to the standard. See for example:

As always your comments are much welcomed.

Dear Cameron,
thanks for your email. I suggest to publish all the short-course
material under a copyleft license, if possible. I think this decision
should be taken by all the authors of the final documentation and
maybe the EGU permission, if needed. However, I suggest you to give us
comments and suggestions on available documentations, please.
Yours,
Raffaele

Hi Raffaele,
I'm interested from an OSGeo-Live perspective, in regards to the
generation and collection of material for the course, such that it
can be incorporated as part of the OSGeo-Live project.
What are your thoughts on the material generated?
Are you wanting to make it generally available under an Open License?
Are you considering basing upon OSGeo-Live Quickstarts?
Warm regards,
Cameron

Dear all,
in the last weeks, it is emerging the possibility for OSGeo group to
propose a short course at EGU (European Geosciences Union) General
Assembly 2016 in Vienna (17-22th April). The course of approximately
90 minutes should be based on OSGeo Live package. It could ba a
great possibility to disseminate the OSGeo approach in EGU community.
This email is a call to search for who willing this workshop. Hence,
we ask to receive candidatures of persons that can be in person at
EGU16 to take the course.
Yours,
Raffaele
