Hi all, I confirm for OTB, that if gdal 2 is available somewhere in launchpad we can plan to package next stable version 5.2 with it on Xenial. I agree that it should be coordinate decisions between GIS packages. Osgeo-live seems the good place to coordinate this.

We can build those against GDAL 1.11.2 if it is really needed. The library packages can coexist (but packages will have to be build in a ppa without GDAL 2).
