Dear all, First of all, thank you for your helpfulness! Yesterday evening, before my pc shutdown I wasn't able to fullscreen properly the VM, I had only rebooted the VM, not the pc. Today, the fullscreen is working properly, so I relunched the command:
sudo mount -t vboxsf -o uid=user, rw LAVORI /home/user/LAVORI but still not working... > > The other option is as explained on the page you refer to. Did you get > any errors while executing the scripts? Yes, in my opinion, due to mistaken commands: suThis t-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic (as written in Quickstart) is not working, returning: suThis: command not found so I did: sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic but needs updates, so it's better doing: sudo apt-get update (as also Johan suggested) and then: sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic > Can you post the output of the > install script? Doing this, everything seems fine! Except from the mounting commands... Now I will try Johan solution: > sudo apt-get update (makes sure you have the most recent sources) (already done) > sudo apt-get install virtualbox-guest-x11 virtualbox-guest-dkms > virtualbox-guest-utils I'll let you know in a while! > This is no longer true. In that case we could just install these packages before > creating the VM, which would be much easier for our users. I would also suggest to upgrade the OSGeo-Live Quickstart for Running in a Virtual Machine, because a lot of little things are outdated: e.g. the name of packages, screenshots of Virtual Box "Virtual Hard Disk" and of VM settings "General- Advanced", but mainly: commands for adding "VBOXADDITIONS". Once more thank you!
