After tonight's discussion (and testing on IRC) we have the following
results:
For QGIS Processing users to use GRASS7, they need to change to Advanced
mode, then go to Options -> Providers, deactivate GRASS and activate
GRASS7. We tested a few of the algorithms and seem to work fine.
For the SAGA issue: in Options->Providers, the user has to deselect the
2.0.8 compatibility check box.
I consider the above not to be a blocker, plus we can add the above info
in errata page (as we did in 8.0 release)
So, +1 on releasing RC1 as final.
Best,
Angelos

Did we figure out why neither SAGA or GRASS are working in the QGIS
Processing toolbox (as reported by Brian)?

Hi Angelos,
I'm in transit, and will be on a plane at our usual meeting time, so
won't make it.
However, I'm +1 for declaring the last release candidate as final.

Hi Astrid,
Indeed, the release day according to schedule was yesterday.
There has been no report of a blocking bug so far.
I propose that we have a meeting tonight (19:30 UTC) on IRC to make a
decision about the final release.
Best,
Angelos

Hi,
we are planning a workshop next week with OSGeo-Live and would like to
take the actual version as vmdk.
Do you already know, when it will be released?
The schedule says yesterday.

Sorry for pushing...
