Hi Antonio,
I'm reviewing your Project Overview. Before getting into depth, I'd like to ask the key question which most potential developers will want to know.

Why should a new developer want to use OpenLayers3 instead of Leaflet? What is special about OL3?

Re the image:
* The 4 images that you current have shows the same OpenLayers framework with 4 different basemap. That is not selling all the great features of OpenLayers. This image is your first chance to draw in a potential new user, and showing a map and tools that they will likely want to use is the best way to draw them in.

I'd suggest trying to show an indicative range of the different tools that can be added to a map that people may want to include: Eg: a legend, a pop up query, styling. This example shows some of that: http://openlayers.org/en/v3.0.0/examples/kml-earthquakes.html

What else can you show?

Hi, I have updated the overview page for OpenLayers3 and placed a new image.
I would appreciate a review (my english is not awesome :) ).

Now, I'll try to improve the quickstart section.

    Hi Cameron,
I made no big changes from source documents, I updated the logo
and image and rewrite the quickstart doc following the previous rules.
OL3 has no support for GMaps base layers, it is possible but due
gmaps license it does not offers a direct class implementation
    like in OL2.

As you suggest, I'll try to improve the overview page, the
    screenshots and the quickstart.

    Cheers.

        Hi Antonio,
I've had a quick pass over the OpenLayers Project Overview and
        Quickstart.

        Project Overview:
        * I notice there are only minor changes from OL2, which is
        mostly fine.

http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/changeset?new=12020%40livedvd%2Fgisvm%2Ftrunk%2Fdoc%2Fen%2Foverview%2Fopenlayers_overview.rst&old=11575%40livedvd%2Fgisvm%2Ftrunk%2Fdoc%2Fen%2Foverview%2Fopenlayers_overview.rst

        * I notice that reference to using Google Maps as a base layer
has been removed. I assume that OL3 can still access Google
Maps layers? This would be an important feature for some
users, and worth noting. Is there any reason for removing such
        reference?

        * I suggest having a look at the leaflet Project Overview. I
suspect you will see features currently listed for Leaflet
which could also be listed for OpenLayers.

        * At the moment the Project Overview image is quite plain,
with only one base map. You might want to consider adding some
other features, such as a legend, a tool bar, popup window,
etc. Possibly even create a collage such as used by GeoServer:
        http://live.osgeo.org/en/overview/geoserver_overview.html

        * I notice you are referencing the location of source code.
This line should be removed as it doesn't fit with our
template. Less words get read more. If someone is serious
enough about the project to want to get source code, then they
will find it on the project's web page.

        Quickstart:
        * I've only had a brief overview of the quickstart so far, but
        have noticed:

So far, there are no screen shots after each step, in line
        with our guidelines:
        http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Add_Project#Application_Quick_Start
(I see that the previous OpenLayers Quickstart didn't have
        images either)

An example of a good quickstart is:
        http://live.osgeo.org/en/quickstart/udig_quickstart.html
You might want to consider writing style and structure used by
the udig_quickstart, which we use as our template to base
        other quickstarts from.

Thank you very much Antonio for all your work on OpenLayers 3.
I'm forwarding your email onto the OSGeo-Live list.

        OSGeo-Live developers,
I'd be keen to see feedback provided to Antonio for his
packaging and doc updates for OpenLayers 3.
        Anyone up to the task?

I'm anticipating OpenLayers 3 will be one of the hot topics
        for the OSGeo-Live 8.5 release.

        - overview and quickstart pages (only in english)
        - icons and images used in the docs

Let me know if you need more help

        Cheers.
