Hi! Carrie! A teacher after my own heart - and my students'. After a tragic series of lice incidents, our (probably blameless) beanbag chairs and pillows were bagged up permanently. There is no question in my mind as to what the students loved most about the room, perhaps not just for comfort but also as a symbol of my caring for their needs. I need to find a way to replace them.
That said, our projector that opens up the world via the Internet and enables students to share their thoughts and ideas visually as well as aurally would be my other most valuable classroom object. Admitting that I am very lucky in that my students' basic needs, including books, are fulfilled between home and our library.
