You say you just upgraded. >From what version? I did not see it until v2. You also say that logs hit 500k, I assume that is an estimate, but did you console in and check things out. Are the drives active? Do you have some IPMI that you can connect to and see what is really going on. If the drives are getting dropped, then no logs get logged.
