I recently got IPv6 turned up on my Comcast cable circuit. They're delegating a /60 to my router. I have successfully configured interface tracking on the LAN interface and that is working great.
Next, I'd like to get the OpenVPN server configured to enable v6 communication with mobile VPN clients. Has anyone had success with this? When configuring the LAN interface, it is set to track the WAN interface, and I can set a prefix ID to provide a unique subnet to LAN clients. As far as I've seen, there's no equivalent configuration available for OpenVPN, correct? Sure, I could probably pick an arbitrary subnet from the block delegated to me and assign IPs from that to OpenVPN clients, but what happens if my delegated block changes? Then everything breaks. I'm not certain that Comcast will always assign the same block. Is there a graceful way to handle this situation? Thank you! -Erik _______________________________________________ List mailing list [email protected] https://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list
