Your going to have all kinds of headaches with VMware on a 2850.... Look into a 2900 series at the least.
With VMware or any virtual platform you'll assign a nic on the host to a virtual switch. Then a vm to that switch. You'll have a vswitch for lan and a vswitch for wan. (Simplest configuration. Your pfsense vm will have a vnic on each switch, then your www would be on the lan vswitch. But first get better hardware you'll drink less.
