I can't get pfsense 2.0.1 to boot from the hard disk. I go through the installer, and do everything. The reboot from hard disk hangs with GRUB on the screen. Both custom install and quick install do this.
I got a suggestion that it might be geometry related. This goes along with a message I get at boot time, about how the disk label doesn't agree with the geometry reported by something else (16,63 != 16,255). The disk is a Maxtor 60 GB parallel ATA drive. What do I do now? pfsense runs fine from the CD, but I can't save and restore the configuration, and that would demand that my roommate know how to reload it anyway. -- Jay Maynard, K5ZC http://www.conmicro.com http://www.hercules-390.org http://www.tronguy.net (Yes, that's me!) http://jmaynard.livejournal.com _______________________________________________ List mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list
