Right. The first link from there says:

"Let's assume that you still want to send your message to several
groups. (Sometimes there could be a reason.) [...] The way to
crosspost is simply to compose and send one message once, just writing
two or more newsgroups names" (here, mailing list names).

The second link says:

"There is one very important DON'T in cross-posting. Do not send the
same message separately to different newsgroups, i.e. do not
multi-post. If your posting indeed is necessary and relevant in more
than one newsgroup, always use the cross-posting facility" (here,
mailing lists - not newsgroups)

The third link says:

"Cross-posting is often wrong, [...] However cross-posting is right
some of the time. Multi-posting is a waste of bandwidth, money, and
people's time, with no advantages whatever, and should never be
indulged in."
