FWIW - My observation - lappies with Intel CPUs the GPU is typically from Intel and a few have NVidia whereas those with AMD CPU typically have the ATI (part of AMD) GPU and few have the NVidia GPU. The OP has already disclosed that his GPU is from the Intel family.
