I think it was added as a feature to USB next,
I didn't see any actual bug report that was fixed by this patch,
only the author saying that "my wireless card needs this to function properly."
Kind of adding the support for one missing uncommon case that the specs require
us to
to handle.
Have you stumbled on this same issue with some device?
If so, then i think it should be sent to stable as well.
