I did more tests to get a clearer idea of failure probability. Cold boot was a way to reproduce failures efficiently. 1 = success, 0 = failed. Before patching: 100110001 (so around 50% success rate) After patching: 111111 (so more than 85% success rate) So I think this change successfully solves my issue.
