After checking it out, UAS does not seem to be compiled in nor as a module on my current kernel. A Ubuntu bug was already open on this matter: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1154739 this problem seems to be existing since 3.5 from this bug report.
