It seems that there is some other factor involved that I'm not aware of, since all of the revisions I re-tested that were previously good, now tested as bad (including the 3.3 version I originally used as the base for my bisecting). In other words: bisecting seems useless, so I'll try to debug this as-is. Any suggestions on things to look at, perhaps? Gr.
