Since we cannot see the continuation of the topic in this list, I'm wondering if it's being looked into or not. I was having the same problem in Gentoo, got the same result on a bisect and was asked to report here: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453904 I tried with kernel 3.8-rc6 yesterday and it wasn't fixed.
