OK, got a solution. My guess is a bug in the capture of mouse clicks on the tutorial floating area/window eventually because of some bug in overlaying it over the main window.
I found that I can get rid of it OR simply see the tutorial if i left click the button "Next" or "Hide Tutorial" AND keep the button pressed WHILE moving the mouse pointer a little. This will make the button change to a dark colour and seems to capture the click event. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of UBUNTU - AL - BR, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1631766 Title: Cannot turn off/hide "Tutorial Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: Running on Linux, Xubuntu 16.04 64 bit, using the AppIamge 2.1 I click the hide button but nothing happens, do some thing in another part of the screen, and the Tutorial goes away, but as soon as I return to the clips area it comes back.
