Skype Me -> Change User Status does not launch skype

Bug description:
When I launch "Skype Me" -> "Change User Status" action, Skype should be
launched and then status changed.
However, nothing happens. - it only works when Skype is already running.
Skype version is 2.1.0.81 on Ubuntu 9.10 x64.
