Starting with version 52, the backspace key isn't a valid shortcut for
going back to the previous page. This is a conscious design decision.
There are extensions that allow enabling the backspace key as a
shortcut, if you really need that.

Bug description:
Backspace usually has the function of going back a page. Similar to
pressing the Back Arrow button on the top left (Chromium 15.0.x).
Unfortunately, this is not the case.
Nothing happens when the Backspace key is pressed.
Alt+LeftArrow key combination does work. However, the use of Backspace
should also be a part of the originally intended key bindings for this
action.
