Public bug reported: The option to cut (Razor Tool) from 1.4.x is not present at the moment. This is almost the single reason I use Openshot since for all videos I edit with it, I do a lot cutting. The issue that I had at 1.4.x was that it did not cut exactly where I marked, it cut a bit before or after.
On 2.x the tool is not found in the easy to access icons to the left. Another point is a Live shortcut for cutting which would simplify A LOT the process of editing but simply running the whole video and while playing the video I would press the shortcut (For example CTRL + R for Razor) and it would cut where the video is at (or an option in the preferences where one would set the cutting to be done a couple of milliseconds before or after pressing the cut shortcut. Anyway, the Razor Tool is super important to the editing and a shortcut on 2.x would enhance on top of this. Architecture (64 bits or 32 bits) : 64 Bit Operating System & version: Ubuntu 16.04 Installation Method : PPA Version of Openshot installed : 2.0.6 BZR Revision used (if any) : MLT/melt version: 0.9.8-3 FFmpeg (i.e.libavcodec) version : 2.8.4-1ubuntu3 FFmpeg installation : /usr/bin/ffmpeg ** Affects: openshot Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of UBUNTU - AL - BR, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545506 Title: Cut / Clip option not available (Razor Tool) Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New Bug description: The option to cut (Razor Tool) from 1.4.x is not present at the moment.
