Same problem here, Debian Stretch, OpenShot 1.4.3, melt 0.9.8. Also saw it on different hardware with Debian Jessie (openshot 1.4.3, melt 0.9.6).
I'm not sure the fault is with melt (or maybe not directly). The clips play fine in melt, i.e.: $ melt myclip1.mts myclip2.mts myclip3.mts ...all play fine. Playing in melt with a filter works too. I found a workaround that seems to make Openshot behave: -right-click on the first video clip in the timeline, click properties, then Effects -add a Letterbox effect with Border Width set to 0.0, Transparency = No -CHECK "apply effects to all clips on this track" -click Apply The project now play and export fine, at least for me :-) YMMV. other effects work too, Letterbox seems to have little impact on processing time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of UBUNTU - AL - BR, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1509067 Title: Video looks distorted when editing, and it looks distorted after saving; I'm using Openshot on Ubuntu 15.10.
