Usually, this issue comes from your version of MLT but there was a long time 
ago.

The solution is to update  Mlt using this faq :

However, I'm not sure that will resolve your issue. I don't know why but I 
suspect an issue with your i386 version. Why you don't use the 64 bits version  
? an Hardware problem ? If you can you should...

Another track. Did you get this issue only with mp4 or with all types of
files ?

Did you use ffmpeg or his fork i.e libav or avconv ? .

  colors false/wrong/inverted with mp4

Bug description:
  Hi,

  Each time I try to add a vidéo in the .mp4 format, openshot complitely
  destroys the colors (preview and rendering).

  See attached file as example.

  Here are my details:
  Ubuntu 15.04 32 bits
  Openshot 1.4.3
  Melt 0.9.6
