A follow up to my last mail...

If your getting servo read errors and your drive has embedded servo which
embeds servo information in the data tracks (which if the drive is newer it 
should) you can just add the blocks your getting errors on the bad block list. 

I have not done this myself so cannot comment on how successful this is.

Others that have been through this process can add more..
