it'd be a fun project to get 8 80Gb ide drives wroking
in one 1U chassis... but.... you're not local to us...
to get 8 IDE disks...most people use the 8port 3ware cards
( wwww.3ware.com ) ,,whether it works or not as raid5...i dont know...
-- IDE drive spinup power consumption is our problems in the 1U chassis
